En attendant Godot (Waiting for Godot).

A 1950’s play by Samuel Beckett is about two men waiting for someone called Godot to arrive. They claim to know him, but it is not clear that they will recognize him when (if) he comes. Until he does they “OCCUPY” themselves to keep “the terrible silence at bay.”  As we wait for the nth recovery plan for Europe, does this sound familiar?

1. Q-3 GDP numbers come out this week. Expectations are for 1.6% growth. Goldman has higher numbers and they have been on track the last few quarters.
